If you are traveling to Rincon, Puerto Rico and plan to hit the beach, surf, sail, dive, or snorkel, here are a few words of advice...
Research what is available before you get there, ie businesses, weather, etc. When you get into town, call these businesses immediately to let them know you are interested. Why? WEATHER IS WHY! If you want to make the most of your trip, you have to be flexible, the weather changes very quickly in the Caribbean!
There is one great dive shop, Taino Divers that offers daily dive trips to Desecheo Island. Another shop that offers diving is Desecheo Dive Shop, but they only refer people to Taino Divers, better just to go straight to them! 787-823-6429
If you want to snorkel, sail, watch the sunset, and just relax on the water, check out the new business, Katarina Sail Charters. They have a brand new catamaran and offer all sorts of sails from "shine time" sunset cruises, to private snorkel sails. 787-823-7245 (SAIL)
There is also a business, Capital Water Sports, offering water sport rentals, everything from surfboards, a laser sailboat, kayaks, to rafts.
Coconut Watersports at Villa Cofresi offers banana boat rides, and jetski rentals.
