The cannon on Pidgeon Island were placed there by the Seaking helicopters of HMS Tiger in early 1977 (below). They were discovered by divers in the Rodney Bay area. They were initially placed on wooden supports built by the ships shipwrights (chippies) in the fort on the end of the island.
