The best time of year to visit Scarborough is during the winter. Though you will be dealing with more tourists on the island, this also means that there will be more to do. In addition to having more activities planned on the island, bars and restaurants will stay open later, which will make for a much more enjoyable nightlife in the area. The temperatures will get pretty hot in the winter, so in the summer it will be extremely hot. It will be so hot, in fact, that it is almost unbarable. Because of the islands close proximity to the equater, the sun really beats down on the area, and you will just want to hang around and not do anything. In the winter, there is a nicer breeze that comes in from the ocean and cools down the area considerably, as well as the fact that there is less sunlight and the Earth's tilt makes the sun less oppressive. You should definitely pack with warm weather clothes. T-shirts, shorts, and bathing suits are a must while you are in Scarborough. Also, don't forget sunglasses and sunblock.
