This island is very quiet and the perfect place to go if you want to snooze in a hammock, snorkel, sunbathe and or look for seashells.  Do get a golfcart for a day and explore New Plymouth.  Renting a boat is an excellent way to venture to other islands.  Don't miss snorkelling the living  coral reefs around the island, which are protected by reef mooring buoys.  And a visit to the Historic Capt. Roland Roberts House Enviornmental Center is a must.  It's located on the main street in town and is a restored circa 1840's two story wooden house with children's activities and lots of information about the coral reefs and mooring buoys inside.
