The original 18 is a classic  country club. Tree (mostly palm) lined fairways, beautifully landscaped, with lovely homes, and water holes that do not intimidate (and have great wildlife). The new Lee Trevino is a wide course that meanders along the marina.

You do not have to stay at El Cid, but the green fees are slightly higher if you don't.  Great caddies. Everyone at the course is very friendly and helpful. Plus they have a deer breeding area, and an alligator lagoon (very separate from the deer).
