The Little Mexican Cooking School

A new fun addition to the Cancun and Puerto Morelos attractions. It opens on December 8th, 2009 and is run by an Australian and a Canadian with a Mexican chef. It provides another great thing to do when you are not on the beach!

The school has day long classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-4pm in a private kitchen. 

The school will give people a guided tour on the products and flavours from a typical Mexican palette with suggestions on where to go to find them, or alternatives,  at home.

The class will demonstrate several traditional dishes such as ‘how to make tortillas from scratch’, ’world’s best guacamole’ and a ‘Turkey or Chicken mole’,  dependant on the chef instructor for each class, of course.

The students will be hands on while rolling, folding, chopping and learning to make salsas and marinades. Local chefs, with international qualifications,  will teach the class and they have invited various celebrity chefs to take  classes later in the year to be announced on their website .

 Souvenir aprons and recipe books are part of the class as is enjoying a late lunch of all the food prepared.
