La Pesca is located on Avenida 30 just south of the intersection with Constituyentes, just across from the bus stop in front of the Mega store. The owner is a waiter for many years at one of the Avenida 5 tourist joints before opening his own place.
The ambience suffers from having a busy street just feet away - buses and heavy traffic. But the food is excellent -the cerviche is is to die for, and the paella is incredibly good. You can get a margarita, a beer, cerviche, and paella for 2 for a total of about $30.
Another favorite dish of many locals is the cazuela de camaron, or shrimp casserole. More like a bisque, it is a spicy, creamy, cheesy thick soup that is a meal in and of itself. Another nice thing about La Pesca is that it is always cool inside, no matter how hot it is outside, due to a large fountain and a nice breeze.
