The Ballet Folklorico de Mexico (de Amalia Hernandez) is Mexico City's world famous dance group. It performs twice a week, once on Wed. and twice on Sunday at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. There are many other wonderful folkloric dance groups across the country but this is the cadillac. It is lavish and utterly memorable for offering spectacle, fabulous costuming, extraordinary dancers, theatrical and passionate portrayal of mythic history . It is thoroughly enjoyable dance theatre.
Other dance companies with similar names may be mistaken for this premier company which does not also perform weekly in Puebla but only in Mexico DF (City) and on special tours.
