There are three companies offering dog sledding in the Banff area.  They all offer a similar experience (although in different locations); explore their websites to discover how they differ.

Howling Dog Tours

Their van picks you up from the hotels in the Banff area (and Lake Louise) and then drives outside Banff National Park to Canmore and up to the provincial park in the mountains.  Note that this company is not related to the company in Whistler that made the news for mistreating their dogs.

Kingmik Dog Tours

Kingmik is the only company offering dog sled tours in Banff National Park. Based in Lake Louise, they offer a 16 km (10 mile) tour to the Kicking Horse Pass, or a shorter tour at the end of the day, which is a perfect addition to a day on the slopes. They run, on average, only 5 sleds per tour time, and each sled seats only 2 guests.

Snowy Owl Dogsled Tours

This company will pick you up in Banff or Canmore for a dog sledding experience in the Spray Lakes/Goat Creek area near Canmore, outside Banff National Park.
