By car

Many people arrive at Kamloops by car because the city is at the intersection of four major highways.   These highways come from the Okanagan area, northern British Columbia, Vancouver and Calgary.  Kamloops is located just four hours from Vancouver and six hours from Calgary when traveled by these highways.   Because of this, many people will fly in to one of those areas and explore it before heading to Kamloops. Travelers can get up-to-date highway information from the Tourism Kamloops  highway conditions page.

By plane

Travelers can reach the Kamloops area via airplane through major international airlines which fly in to the nearby larger cities.   Travelers can also fly into Kamloops directly from these major cities by catching a commuter flight on Air Canada Jazz , while Horizon Air has a seasonal service which connects Kamloops and Sun Peaks Resort directly to Seattle.   More information about the Kamloops Airport is available on their official website .

By bus

Travelers can also get to Kamloops by taking the gold old Greyhound bus.   The bus station is conveniently located at 725 Notre Dame in Kamloops and has lines traveling from all nearby cities.   The bus is one of the least expensive methods of arriving in the city, especially with gas prices going up all throughout the world.
