Whistler is the biggest and most varied ski area in North America.  It is located about 100 km (60 miles) north of Vancouver, BC.  Its ski areas are open from mid-November to the beginning of August.  Mountain biking and golf are the primary off-season sports; both are world class.  For powder hounds, mid-January to mid-March are the best times to ski.  April through June offer great sunny weather, and tons of fun events in the village.  The party and music scene are fantastic 12 months a year.  It's like nowhere else.
