The village of Jordan, located in the town of Lincoln (about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls), sits in the middle of wine country.  This charming village contains a winery ( Cave Spring Cellars), some specialty boutiques, antique stores and an awarding winning restaurant ( On the Twenty Restaurant).  Don't miss the local museum, which features an old schoolhouse and an old home featuring local pioneer and Mennonite artifacts. Take a walk on the Twenty Valley Trail up to Ball's Falls Conservation area.   With lots to do, Jordan is easy to find and a good place to spend the afternoon.

If you want to stay there, the  Best Western Beacon offers rooms overlooking Lake Ontario.

The Welland Canal was built to allow ships to get around Niagara Falls. The Lock 3 Viewing Complex in nearby St. Catharines lets you see giant freighters being locked through the canal.

You can purchase a 2 CD audio driving tour for your car called "Niagara...More Than The Falls" by Car-Go Audio Tours. This tour takes you on a loop from Niagara Falls to Niagara-on-the-Lake and back.
