Fabulous recent building just over the river from Ottawa in Gatineau (10 minute walk over bridge)- organic curves to echo the river's forms, leading down to water's edge. Contains incredible tall sculpted poles by West Coast indigenous peoples. There are also reconstructed painted and carved wooden houses, and displays of Inuit and other peoples' cultures. Other museums also housed on same site (they've moved there recently) including Canadian Postal museum and Museam of Childhood.
