Canmore enjoys celebrating many things, including itself. There are a number of festivals to choose from annually in Canmore. Here is a sampling:
The Canmore Folk Music Festival is held during the first full weekend of August each year. This outdoor festival is set in such a way that you can enjoy the music, the energy, the company of so many music lovers and the beautiful scene surrounding you in the form of the Rockies. This is also a family event and there are performances and activities just for children and families.
The Canmore Highland Games are popular among enthusiasts of all things Scottish. The event is held in September each year and drumming, piping, highland dancing and – of course – a beer garden.
The Artspeak Arts Festival, held in June each year, is a weeklong event celebrating and highlighting the arts of Canmore. This festival includes arts, but also tasty nibbles, music and much more.
If you are heading to Canmore on a skiing holiday – and who isn’t, in the cold winter months – think about coordinating your trip with the Winterfest celebration, held in January. Or consider the Canmore Rodeo, if you’re in town during the summer.
