Fernie Alpine Resort is a well-liked ski resort  in Canada to ski powder. It is located about 1.5 hrs from Whitefish, Montana or 3 hrs south of Calgary, Alberta in the heart of the Southern Canadian Rockies. Another key access is the newly opened Canadian Rockies International Airport- just 1 hr from Fernie Alpine Resort. Starting this winter is new air service from Delta Airlines from Salt Lake City, Utah. Deep snow is the norm with over 37 feet of snow last winter.
