A full travel policy is highly recommended; do check that the insurance company is aware of the necessity for health cover when visiting Guernsey as this was only introduced in April 2009.
Do check that your insurance policy covers for travel delays caused by inclement weather. Occasionally planes are grounded due to fog in the Islands, and this may result in unplanned hotel bills or the cost of alternative travel arrangements.
