Being an artist influenced city, Brighton has many opportunities to enjoy the performing arts. 

            Perhaps the best time of year to visit is during the springtime.  For three weeks every May, the city fills with hundreds of thousands of people, all looking to enjoy the annual Brighton Festival.  Artists and performers from all over the world gather for the purpose of sharing their talent.  The main attractions of this event are theater, music and dance.  Visit Festival for more information.

           With more than twelve venues to choose from, going to the theater can be a great experience.  The largest theater in Brighton is undoubtedly the Theater Royal, where musicals and large touring productions fill the seats nightly.  The Pavilion Theater is a 240 seat venue that is home to many Brighton Festival events.  Musicals, art exhibits and dance performances can also be seen here.  The most famous theater in Brighton is the Komedia, which showcases drama, comedy and live music.  For a complete list of Brighton’s theaters, visit Theater List.
