Keswick can be considered a year round destination, but there are certain months during which time the weather is more comfortable than others.  The climate in Keswick is not very extreme, with mild summers and winters.

On average, the warmest months of the year in Keswick are July and August, during which time the daily high temperatures will generally hover in the mid 70’s.  The nighttime temperatures during these months will drop to the 50’s.  On average, the coldest months of the year are December and January, during which time daily high temperatures will be in the 40’s, with nighttime temperatures dropping to the 30’s.  Occasionally the nighttime temperatures during the winter months drop below freezing, but the locals consider this to be very cold.

Visitors to Keswick should be prepared for sudden weather changes throughout the year.  Sunny skies don’t always stay that way, as rainstorms can quickly roll through.  People heading on hikes and treks should always bring along an umbrella or raincoat.  On the other hand, rainy days can quickly change to sunny ones.

Keswick is the busiest during the summer months when the weather is the warmest and it rains the least.  The spring and fall seasons are great to visit during, as the temperatures are still warm and the crowds thin out.
