The Town of Ramsgate is a pub on Wapping High Street. It offers food and (of course) drink in a old fashioned 'Olde English Pub' atmosphere.

You can imagine that this place has not changed in a hundred or more years. This pub claims to be the 'oldest on the river' and could well be. There are a number of locals who use this place as their own. The food is good value and unpretentious.

There is a small garden with a view over the river.

The pub is right on the Thames Path, and has a set of steps down to the 'beach' (!) on the Thames at the side.

Wapping is nowadays very upmarket, but with a number of older locals hanging in there to give atmosphere!
