This appears to be the first entry for the Ghost Walk around Stratford Upon Avon - can't think why - it's a must do! The party assembled at 7.30pm under the guidance of a sinister character who goes by the name Josiah Grubb - a kind of Dickensian Derren Brown - who leads the party through the town providing a dramatic and theatrical narrative, pausing at hotels, inns and houses where multiple sightings of "phantasms", ghosts and poltergeists are said to have occured .... and in many cases still do (allegedly). The tour is punctuated with tales of witchcraft, plague and untimely deaths with the ocassional mind-reading, magic tricks and even a macabre song, sung under the dim lamplight at the gates of the graveyard at Holy Trinity Church. One and a half hours or so of pure entertainment for £5 (advance booking). Thanks Josiah!

Also see Stratford Town Walk, which is earlier in the day but which is equally good (though not quite as eerie!). Tom Perry.
