There are two central Aberdeen shopping centres - Bon Accord Shopping Centre(and St Nicholas Centre adjoining), which can be accessed off Schoolhill and George St and Trinity Centre on Union Street.  This is where you will find your chain stores (M&S, John Lewis, Disney Store, Wallis, etc) as well as the old main Street, Union Street.  There is also a smaller shopping centre at Berryden, where you will find another Argos, Next, Mothercare, Toys RUS and JJB Sports. 

 If you are looking for more trendy boutique type shops try the Academy, which is also accessed off Schoolhill and Belmont Street.  If it is high end stores you are looking for head for the top of Union Street and Thistle Street/ Rose St area serves you well, especially the discerning ladies. You will find Cruise, Hugo Boss, G-Star Raw all up at the top end of Union Street.   Slaters menswear is tucked away behind Union St as you head to Bon Accord Square.  The indoor market is accessed from just across the street from H&M (Market St). Along the North Deeside Road to Cults (A94), there is a very well stocked ladieswear boutique as you come into the village, which also has a good independent supermarket with a bakery. If you are into antiques, there's an antique centre down in the railway arches on South College St.

The town of Inverurie (16 miles north west with both a train and, more regular, bus link - 10, 737 or 307) is a more relaxed shopping experience and still has the feel of a busy market town. You will find old fashioned hardware store a haberdashery and delicatessen set in amongst the market centre.
