The Merry Ploughboy Pub hosts a nightly traditional Irish music and dancing show, featuring the pub's owners, the band themselves.  This pub is outside of Dublin's City Centre but accessible, easiest by taxi.  The main level has a pub with pub food, and music, and the upper level is where the dinner and show take place.  Reservations for the dinner/show should be made in advance, though.  The meal included with the show is 3 courses (starter, main course with vegetables, dessert), and pints/drinks from the back bar are available throughout as well.  The Merry Ploughboys themselves perform original and more well-known Irish songs with Irish dancers taking the stage halfway through.  After the dinner show completes there is still opportunity downstairs for another pint or two, and more live music until the night's end.  If you choose to leave directly after the dinner show, the pub will arrange a taxi for you from the pub back to your next destination.
