There are loads of great places to eat in Kilkenny that don't cost the earth. Here is a list of some of them;

  Marble City Bar - Great food always a good standard, part of the Langton empire he seems to get it right all of the time. The Marble City Bar is on High St. (main st.) ask and thou shalt be pointed in the right direction. Carrigans that man Langhton again similar menu to Marble City Bar great food, on the Parade (main square). They do a great breakfast on a Saturday and Sunday morning as well. (Why do they stop at 12??). The Hibernian this is a great bar across from Carrigans food here is good and it is a great place for a drink too. For lunch you can't go wrong with The Pump House this is where the young folk drink at the weekend but during the week you can't beat the soup and sandwhiches and is is so reasonable. Something more substantial the Rivercourt Hotel really nice down by the river great for lunch by try the sunday 3 course lunch. Other places which do great Sunday deals are Fleava and Zuni.  Both of these restaurants are really good but a bit on the pricey side. Great for a good night out but great value on Sundays.
