Perpignan is located deep in the southern part of France, close to the Mediterranean Sea. Because of it's location, it has a very warm climate. The best time of year to visit is probably in the spring or summer, not only for the better weather, but because there are many festivals and events going on during this time of year as well. If you visit during the fall or winter, it will be rainier, colder, and overall just less enjoyable. Once you visit in the spring or summer you will see why you really must go during that time of year. The flowers in bloom are beautiful and the sights and smells are incredible. When you go to Perpignan you should bring light clothing if you are visiting during the warmer months. T-shirts and shorts will do just fine, but if you want to go out at night you should have some pants and a light jacket. If you are visiting in the colder months, you should have pants and a jacket. The weather overall isn't too harsh. It stays pretty constant, but you should be prepared just in case. You'll definitely want to have enough of everything just to make sure you don't get stuck in a bad situation.
