Public transportation in the French Riviera is very efficient, timely and convenient if you want to explore the coastal towns like Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Villefranche, Menton as well as many towns and villages inland.

 

 Apart from airport express buses which have a special tarification [see timetables below] ,  standard  bus journeys within the Alpes Maritimes are a flat fare of one euro and standard bus  journeys within the Var region  are a flat fare of 2 euros.

Nice Airport - Antibes, Juan les pins, Golfe juan, Vallauris express

 Nice Airport - Cannes express

Nice Airport - monaco and Menton express

 

Lignes d'Azur = lignes urbaines de la Communauté Urbaine Nice Côte d'Azur : local buses for Nice and environs - as far as Cagnes sur mer, Vence [but not St Paul] , Villefranche, Eze village, as far as Cap d 'ail but not Monaco

 

Lignes départementales des Alpes Maritimes (ex lignes TAM) - longer distance buses - connectecting Nice,  Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Menton, Grasse etc and inland towns and villages such as St Paul de vence, St Martin Vesubie, Isola 2000, Beuil , etc etc

 

 One of the biggest train stations in the Riviera is Gare Nice Ville, in Nice. Trains going through this station connect the Riviera to all other French cities as well as to many European cities.
