The tourist information office of Leipzig is located at Richard Wagner Strasse 1.  Unlike many tourist information offices throughout the world, it keeps the same hours all throughout the year.  It is open Monday through Friday from ten in the morning until six at night.  On weekends, it also opens at ten in the morning, but on Saturdays it closes at four in the evening and on Sundays it is only open until two in the afternoon.

Despite the fact that it maintains the same hours all throughout the year, the Leipzig visitor’s center does have a busier season.  For the most part, this season coincides with the annual trade fairs which take place in the area.  Travelers will find that numerous activities taking place in the area during that time are highlighted at the tourist information center, making it a hub of traveler activity at that time.

That is not the only good time to visit the tourist information center, though.  The office is excellent for obtaining information about local attractions all throughout the year.  They can also assist with any questions about the area.  Additionally, the tourist information center makes available a map which focuses on the major attractions in the area.  Additional information about the visitor’s center can be obtained online at www.leipzig.de/int/en/  which is the official tourist information website for the city.  Travelers can also obtain information by calling the center at +49 (0) 341-710-4260.
