Cadiz now has an integrated transport authority providing bus, rail and marine links to the city called El Consorcio de Transportes de la Bahía de Cádiz  The airport serving Cadiz is just north of Jerez de la Frontera. The principal bus company having links with many other towns and cities outside Cadiz Province is called Transportes Generales Comes 

You can cross the bay of Cadiz to El Puerto de Santa Maria and to Rota by catamaran or by small tourist ferry called EL VAPOR.

A regular rail link is provided serving local stations in the city and nearby such as San Fernando, Puerto Real and El Puerto de Santa Maria.  The regional train service known as 'Andalucia Expres' also goes to Jerez, and stations to Seville. A twice daily service links Cadiz with Madrid taking over 5 hours. The fast AVE rail link betwen Madrid and Seville is currently (2006) being extended to allow quicker journies to Cadiz. Cruise ships regularly call into the port and the old city is minutes away from the gang plank.

 A regular ferry service to the Canaries handles freight as well as passengers and vehicles. Operated by TRASMEDITERRANEA

 No ferry service to Morocco from Cadiz.
