Only the exterior of this building can be visited. This is a Gothic building constructed in the 15th century, but was renovated until the 16th century. This is one of the most important civil buildings in the city and its architecture was influenced by Gothic and Renaissance trends. The building site is adjacent to the sea and it was used to regulate maritime commerce and was used to collect taxes on products received by the port. Today the building houses the Government of the Balearic Islands. There is a clock tower and a Plateresque Gallery on the façade that faces the sea. This gallery has five arches that are separated by small columns. The interior has a beautiful Renaissance gallery from the 17th century. The building is adorned by art from the Provincial Museum.
