Ciutadella is a lovely old city, formerly capital of Minorca. It has a picturesque square and medieval alleyways. The shops open between 4.30 and 8pm. Parking is free when it is siesta, but pay after that. Plenty of traffic wardens around. Get there just before the shops open to get a parking space. Food is great down at the harbour - mainly seafood. Steep walk down. Has a pleasant air to the place, fairly friendly. Makes a change from the beach. Lots of small arty shops but access can be tricky.
