Corso Umberto is the street in Taormina that will meet all your needs for shopping no matter how crazy, expensive or extravagant the need may be. You’ll find the most sophisticated designs in jewelry, fashion (Parisi Donna, by far the best), pottery (Sicilian ceramic are fantastic, try the Carlo Paranello store) and furniture. There are many antique shops (Forin offers Sicilian antiques and prints) and souvenir bazaars and gift shops (Ch‘ien with exotic goods from China and India).

There are also small markets with great regional goods, wines (like almond wine, Taormina's typical beverage) and great selections of cheese, sweetmeat, bread and local pastries.

When you drop tired from shopping, you can have a drink at one of the bars or sit at a café (the one at Hotel Domenico, a luxury) and just spend the time watching people walk by or enjoy the views.

After you have returned to life with an energizing coffee, you can also take a peek at the side streets where you will find some hidden store with that unique find.
