Jewish Florence Guided Tours, is highly recommended and a highlight of a stay in Florence.

The tour guide, Giovanna Rosenfeld,  provided an informative tour with passion, and enthusiasm. Giovanna, a native of Florence, and a trained architect and teacher,  provides a wealth of knowledge in history, art and architecture.  She is informative, pleasant, witty and well-read, which are important qualities for a satisfying and thorough tour.  Her English is excellent, which made communication easy.

The tour started at the Jewish museum, where she guided us though the museum and synagogue, providing a fascinating history of Jewish florence.

Following the Jewish synagogue tour,  the city center was next, where Giovanna provided the Jewish history in that area. We ended up having a private tour,, and after three hours, concluded that a tour with her was quite a treat.   She offers both private, and group tours for a reasonable cost.  It is recommended to book the tour early on in your stay so that you can also get the benefit of her recommendations for other places to see.
