On the Greek island of Mykonos there are many activities to keep the visitor entertained.
The most obvious place to spend a day is on one of the many white sand beaches that the island has to offer. But there is much more to do than just soaking up the sun and swimming in the cool water. Mykonos is one of the best places in the Aegean Sea for scuba diving. Certain islands in the area do not allow diving for various reasons, but this is not the case here. There are numerous dive sites around the island with a great deal of diversity, including reefs, rocks and wrecks. There are quite a few dive companies operating on the island, two of which can be found at Mykonos Dive .
Many other beach activities are available including snorkeling, jet skiing, water skiing, wind surfing, and even beach golfing. Visit Ocean Activities for more information. Visit Beach Golf Club for information about this unique activity.
Visiting the island’s numerous museums is a good activity for a day out of the sun. Visit Museums for more information.
Exploring the city on foot can also be very enjoyable. With so much to see, this can fill more than just one day. There are many great shopping opportunities on the island as well.
Windsurfing: You can go windsurfing to Kalifatis where there is a Fanatic windsurfing club; The only problem is that this is the most expensive windsurfing club in all Europe with very unpleasant staff. The windsurfing spot is gusty.
