LIDOS water park is based in Mastihari, Kos. It is approximately 25 minutes by bus from Dolphin Square in the centre of Kos Town.
The prices do vary but adults are 17 Euros, kids are about half that price and under 5's are free.
There is a free Lidos bus which leaves Dolphin Square in Kos Town every day at a Greek 11am (that could be half a hour either side) and returns back from Lidos at 5pm, again Greek 5pm!.....However the water park does have a speaker system installed in the park to tell everyone that they have 20 minutes before the bus arrives.
The park its self contains an area where the under 5's can play. This includes small slides, water guns and fountains. Its realy very impressive, the only disappointing aspect is if you have a 2 or 3 year old who just REALLY wants to go on that slide, but are to young to be on it on their own, the adult must not climb the very strong structure which contains the slides and the children have to enter it on there own. Not the safest.
The rest of the park is for older children or adults. There are three very high slides where you plummet to the bottom. Next to those slides is another slide which is even more verticle!
There are 3 other slides where you need tube or floatable rings, these prove to be very popular. One is a Black Hole, another is a slower open flume. Both of these can be enjoyed as an individual or on a 2 man ring!
There is another ride where it resembles a sink! You fly down a tube and hit a huge basin where you spin around it like the water in your basin at home before dropping down the plug hole into water below!
There is a wave pool and 2 small shallow pools, great for helping youngsters to swim or to just chill out in the water.
The resturant as normal for places like these are a big let down. The prices are hiked up and the food is barely consumable. Although frowned upon, take your own snacks.
The trip is a great change from the pool or beach.
