If you want to stick to English breakfasts, have a fish and chip shop close by and watch Eastenders in a bar then this is ideal. At the height of the season the Sidari Resort Area is busy with young groups of British and Italians. At other times, this destination generally attracts young families and people after a cheap getaway. It is a flat resort so it's also popular for those in pushchairs and people with walking difficulties.
The beach is acceptable, but sandy beaches are only on the west and northwest sides of the island. For a better beach you could cycle or walk to Sunset Beach in about 50 minutes. True to its name you'll see a beautiful sunset there, and you will find a taverna and bar where you can enjoy it.
There are plenty of different restaurants on offer; traditional Greek, English, Chinese, Mexican. If you want a quieter evening, stay around the Canal d'Amour area. Try the Aquarius restaurant for good views and excellent food. Many accomodations hold their own Greek nights and all are welcome for a reasonable fee.
