The Peloponnese region of Greece has a warm Mediterranean climate which enjoys fairly mild temperatures all year.   The average temperature in the summer (July and August) is around 85 degrees F, while winter temperatures average in the mid to high 50's.  Peloponnese's summers are generally very sunny and get very little rain.  The winter is the area's rainy season, with December through March being the rainiest months.

Most people choose to come to Peloponnese during the spring and summer when the weather is warm and dry in order to best enjoy the region's beautiful beaches and seaside activities.  If you choose to visit the region during that time it is unlikely that you will need to pack warm clothing or rain gear.  During the winter the temperature is much colder so visitors are advised to take along jackets and warm clothing as well an umbrella, although the temperatures rarely, if ever, drop below the freezing mark.
