Arhus is a warm, friendly and vibrant town, the center of Jutland economy and culture. It is the only city in Denmark that can rival Copenhagen for its nightlife, with fantastic restaurants, professional concert venues, wild festivals, and a rich cultural history. It is only 15 minutes on bike to pristine sandy beaches as well as well-maintained and persevered woodland. It contains about a quarter of a million residents. Its residents are commercially savvy, chic but laid-back. The city itself has many dimensions, from its historical old town, called Den Camle By, which is really an open-air museum that shows what authentic Danish life is like. The Tivoli Friheden, similar to the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, has clown exhibits, flowering gardens and bubbling cafes, perfect for relaxing in the summer.

Arhus is also known for its university; the town is a perfect host for this respected institutions as its young students can be seen at the various museums and frequenting the pubs at night to listen to new jazz or rock music and mingle. The air is fresh, the people are kind, and the area is safe for sauntering and exploring. Arhus is great for tourists who want to feel what Danish life really is like.
