The legendary home of Santa Claus is in Finnish Lapland. Because of this, the Finnish people are very committed to the holiday, and the Finnish language is the only language in the world that dedicates the whole month to Christmas with the name of the month. The Finnish word for December, Joulukuu, literally means Christmas Month. Finnish Lapland and the Arctic Circle form the perfect and natural home for reindeer.
On November 29th, Santa Claus presides over the opening of the Christmas Season Festivities. Here is the Doctor's annual report on Santa's health:
- Known by all, the real Santa Claus is youthful despite his actual age, he has a long step and is energetic. His health situation is very good, and no changes were found compared to the previous year. Santa has a good heart, excellent eyesight, and hearing that exceeds all official hearing requirements set by the elves. He is therefore ready for his important Christmas missions.
The examination was conducted at the Lapland Central Hospital by Surgical Specialist Eija Suorsa. In addition, the Arctic Circle Elfontology Specialist has also taken part in assessing Santa's fitness.
Santa’s reindeer have been practicing for their Christmastime duties throughout the autumn, and according to the physician checking their flying abilities the reindeer are also in top form.
Santa Claus revealed the secret of his good health as being sufficient rest and delicious Christmas porridge. He reminds that thanks to the energetic elves, he is always able to receive visitors to Finnish Lapland even in the middle of the busy season.
