Werfen Ice Caves are not far from Salzburg. It is a must do if you:
- have the time
- like to add some adventure to your relaxing holiday
It's a completely different experience to come here. This place is unlike
other ice caves and to walk inside (almost 2 to 3 kms) is fun. There is a 25 minute track to go up and take a cable car to go further
and again another 15 minute hike to arrive at the entrance. The moment you enter, you feel a cold wind throwing you out.
Be equipped with proper shoes (not slippery types), full pants/denim (shorts will kill you), and a jacket (people who feel cold very fast should wear a sweater as well).
