A city full of culture, Positano boasts a large base of regular performing arts concerts, venues and events.  However, the city goes beyond this to include several festivals throughout the year that celebrate the fine and performing arts.

The Positano International Chamber Music Festival is not only limited to classical music—including jazz, folk music, 20th century music and world music in the public and private performances, talks and master classes that take place during the festival.

Every year, the city of Positano also awards its Leonide Massine Dance Award (at the Villa Stella Romana) which looks to honor both up-and-coming and established dancers and choreographers.  The presentation of the award includes a gala performance early in September.  Past award winners include De Sica and Zeffirelli.

If one is willing to travel the Amalfi Coast for a little music, June features a whole month of performing arts in the city of Naples in what is the “Amalfi Coast Music Festival,” bringing together internationally renowned performers and musicians in the Amalfi Coast Music Festival.
