If you don't get breakfast in your hotel you'll have to do as the locals do. Fresh pastries and whatever coffee takes your fancy at the nearest bar. At the top of the village there is the 'Bar Internazionale', which has a continuous stream of locals popping in for breakfast. A bit further out of town is the 'Bar Celentano' which is much quieter but has a terrace out the back where you can sit and admire the sea view.
Further downtown the 'Bar Mulini' is a quick stop off point to grab a pastry and espresso.
If you want to sit have a relaxing breakfast (and don't mind paying a bit more) try 'La Zagara', which is in the alleyway that heads down to the beach. Once at beach level, you could sit at the 'Buca del Bacco' and people watch while you eat, or head over to the 'Covo dei Saraceni' bar on the pier that has plenty of tables outside.
If you really, really want to impress someone and give them the most romantic breakfast of their lives, reserve a table with a view at the San Pietro Hotel but be prepared to shell out for it!
