Open market in the Allées Paul Riquet on Fridays - stalls all the way up this long plane-tree shaded road.  Les Halles has the indoor market - open every day except Monday.  It's good for vegetables, cheeses, meat and an excellent Italian fresh pasta stall with friendly helpful staff.
