The equestrian school has a spectacular show called "How the Andalusian Horses Dance", which is a unique exhibition of horsemanship that is known worldwide. In 1973 King Juan Carlos (at that time a prince) awarded Don Alvaro Domecq Romero the Golden Horse Trophy, for recognition of his work with horses. To accept the award, Alvaro Domecq showed the exhibition of "How the Andalusian Horses Dance" for the first time.

Later the Ministry of Information and Tourism took charge and bought land from the Duke of Abrantes and built a covered exercise ring which could seat 1600 spectators, and with stables for 60 horses. in 1986 the school bought the stable of Don Pedro Domecq de la Riva, which had 35 Spanish breed horses and the collection of nineteen horse-drawn carriages, with their harnesses and saddles, that date back to 1730. In 2003 the governing body became the present Foundation.

The school is dedicated to conserve classical and country dressage, the breed of the Spanish horse, and the traditions and culture. They act as ambassadors of Spain abroad and go on an annual tour to different foreign countries.

The website is very good and has an English translation. One can see the schedule of exhibitions of the show, other types of visits, and can book tickets online.
