There are various options for getting around while visiting Jerez de la Frontera with public transportation.

Traveling by train around Spain can be a great way to see the country, as much can be seen that is missed when flying.  The trains are fairly affordable, and very comfortable.  There is a railway station in Jerez, which links the city to both Cadiz (on the sea side) and Sevilla (on the north).  For more information, check out this Andalusia Railway page.

There is a public bus system that runs routes around the city of Jerez.  Both, city system buses and the Andalusia regional buses, stop at the local Bus Station, which is located in the city center.  Information about the available routes, fares, and timetables is available at the station.

Although taxis are available in Jerez de la Frontera, they are not frequently taken.   Finding them at the airport and train station is likely, but outside of those areas, the best way to catch a cab is by calling one of the companies in the city.   Most hotels, restaurants, and bars will be happy to call for their customers.   Tele Taxi is one of these companies, and they can be contacted at +34 95 6344860.
