Sydney to Brisbane is a very popular car/camper-van route to take on the east coast . This trip can be taken through the Pacific Highway (926 km), or the New England and Cunningham Highways (960km).

The Pacific Highway, although shorter, may take longer as there are more towns to slow you down.  This is a popular route as it travels along the scenic coast.

October to April is the perfect time to go as it is the right time to catch blue skies and glowing beaches. The Pacific Highway also passes through towering forests and small communities. Indulge in  numerous recreational pursuits such as surfing, swimming, fishing, boating, golf, touring however, most of all enjoy the drive.

4WD vehicles are not necessary for any of this trip as most of the roads are well sealed or have an alternative route

The New England Hwy route takes you via the Hunter Valley wineries, Tamworth - the Country Music Capital of Australia and historic townships such as Armidale and Tenterfield.
