The main place to find your souvenir of Cairns is on the Esplanade where every second shop seems to be selling something glitzy with the word "Cairns" on it. If you're looking for something a bit more memorable, try:

Held nightly, they're often packed with a wide range of souvenirs and local crafts.

General Shopping

There are a number of shopping centres in Cairns, but the two main ones are Cairns Central Shopping Centre and Stockland.

Central Shopping Centre
McLeod and Spence St

If you're staying in the Cairns CBD, the Central Shopping Centre is only a short walk away. It also houses the train station. It has over 180 specialty stores and the major shops here are department stores Myer and Target, and grocery stores Bi-Lo and Coles. There's also a 6-screen cinema complex.

Stockland Cairns

Stockland has over 130 specialty stores and the major ones are: Big W, Target and Woolworths. There's also a 6-screen cinema complex.
