New Zealand’s Most Beautiful Street

Opened in 1932, New Regent Street is Christchurch’s only complete heritage streetscape. With beautiful Spanish Mission architecture, and a distinctive pastel colour scheme, it’s long been popular with locals and tourists alike.

In amongst the history and heritage there’s an exciting range of businesses in the boutique shops. From gourmet fudge and cookies to a whisky bar and diamond jeweler, New Regent Street is all about pleasure and indulgence. Whether sipping a latte while admiring the period features and attractive landscaping, indulging in a haircut and manicure, or meeting friends for drinks, you’ll find it a stylish haven for pleasure and relaxation.

Located right in the heart of Christchurch city, New Regent Street is close to major hotels and Cathedral Square, and just a short stroll from the ReStart Mall.

There are car parks nearby, several bus routes on adjacent streets and it is also on the city tram route now that it has restarted.

See the New Regent Street website for a directory of shops, news and information on the street.
