All cities and most towns in New Zealand have information centres that are focused on the needs of travellers. Around 88 of these centres are branded with an ‘i-SITE’ sign, which tells you that the centre is part of New Zealand’s official network of visitor information sites.
i-SITE visitor centres are dedicated to providing you with free, friendly and objective information about local attractions, accommodation and transport. Their trained staff can answer questions, give advice and share a few local secrets to make your holiday even more successful. You can also ask i-SITE staff to make bookings on your behalf. Accreditation to the network ensures that i-SITEs deliver a quality service and unbiased advice. The best part is they are found in all major settlements in New Zealand. There is only one official i-SITE Visitor Centre in Queenstown under the clocktower on the corner of Camp & Shotover St. Once in New Zealand you can call them toll free on 0800 668888 for any questions about Queenstown or the surrounding regions.
Queenstown i-SITE can give you all the advice you need on skiing/boarding in the winter, milford & doubtful sounds, backpacker, motel, hotel & holiday park accommodation, transport, sight seeing, coach tours, and activities like skydiving, rafting and bungy jumping! There's no question they havn't been asked before so obviously they are the best place for independant advice and information. If you want them to organise your holiday they can do this too and there's no hidden costs or booking fees attached.
