Wroclaw has a moderate temperature compared to many of the areas surrounding it.  The winters are cold, but they are not unbearable, with the average low winter temperature being just below freezing point (zero degrees Celsius or thirty two degrees Fahrenheit).  Interestingly, January is the month of the year in which Wroclaw sees the coldest temperatures but December is considered the coldest month of the year there because the average high temperature in December is much lower than the average high temperature in January.

The summers in Wroclaw are nice in terms of the temperature, with the hottest summer months having an average high temperature of below ninety degrees.  However, summer is also the rainy season in Wroclaw .  The month of June usually averages ten inches of rain and the month of July, which is the wettest month, averages anywhere from twelve to fifteen inches of rain.

Summer is still a good time to head to the area, despite the rain, because there are numerous festivals and events taking place in the area at that time.   Festivals go on all throughout the year, there, though so travelers really do have their pick of when to take a vacation in the area.   See http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g27... for more information regarding planning around annual Wroclaw events.
