The best budget eating in Fremantle is the "Shanghai Markets" or "Upmarkets" as known to the locals. Next door to the Sail and Anchor pub and across the mall from the Fremantle Markets.

Many, mainly asian style kitchens, pizza, indian etc plus a small bar.  During  2007  the average meal was $8 to $10s. Tasty Taste Noodle House (best Fried Kway Teow in Perth) and Taka's Japanese (incredibly well priced) are favourites but all are good eating.
