The place to go to get local tourist information is the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau.  The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau has offices located not only on the Island of Hawaii but also in several cities in the continental United States, making it possible for visitors to use this as a travel information resource in both the planning and experiencing phases of their trip.

There are two offices of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau located on the Island of Hawaii.  The bigger of the two offices is the one located in Hilo, at 250 Keawe Street.  The other office is located on the Kona side of the Island of Hawaii at 250 Waikoloa Beach Drive.  Both offices contain brochures and information about local attractions, accommodations and special events.

Visitors interested in finding out about the nearest location of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau to their continental United States hometown can contact the visitor’s center by phone at (800) 464-2924.  Visitors coming from foreign countries will be happy to know that there may be a Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau office located in their country as well.  Countries with offices include Australia, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.
